FROM CLWSC: Effective May 1, 2021Year-Round Watering Moves to Stage 1 Water Restrictions |
Water sustainability and water conservation continue to be an important focus for SJWTX. Responsible use of this precious resource is a key part of how we protect our limited water supply. The watering schedules outlined in our State-approved Drought Contingency Plan promote efficient use for landscape irrigation. This schedule, along with other key elements of the Plan, is designed to help work toward state and regional goals established by the Texas Water Development Board. On May 1, 2021, the Canyon Lake Water Service area will enter Stage 1 watering restrictions allowing one-day per week watering based on the last digit of your address. This means a change from twice-weekly watering under the current Year-Round Watering Schedule to once-weekly watering allowed under Stage 1. As a reminder in either Stage, you may still water by hand, or via soaker hose or drip irrigation. SJWTX is expecting to move to Stage 2 early in the summer as a result of weather conditions associated with the La Nina weather patterns currently being experienced across Texas. We are monitoring conditions closely and will provide notice to customers as soon as possible regarding when we may enter Stage 2. In the meantime, we ask that all customers adhere to Stage 1 rules and conserve where they can, both indoors and out. To learn more click on Drought Stages.Drought Stages |
